Crooked Run is alive with the sound of music—German music, to be precise. The Fairchild sisters have pulled out all the stops for their lively festival, hoping to raise enough money to repair the church roof. But as the village hums with cheerful tunes, a far more sinister note is struck.

 

When a well-known local is found dead, the festive air turns to whispers of suspicion. Reverend Jane Cartwright isn’t one to ignore a mystery, and neither is her sharp-witted sidekick, retired Scotland Yard detective Jasper Reaves.
